1. Wembley Stadium: This stadium is situated in Wembley Park, London, England. It is a football stadium. It is one of the world’s most famous football stadiums. It was opened in 2007. Its owner is The Football Association. The capacity for this stadium is 90,000. $1.5 billion is spent to build this stadium. This stadium is in the first position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

2. Olympic Stadium (Montreal): This is a multipurpose stadium located in Montreal, Canada. It was opened on 17th July 1976. Its capacity for football is 66,308, baseball 43,739 and Concert 78,322. The total amount of money that was spent for this stadium is $1.4 billion. This stadium is in the second position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

3. Madison Square Garden: This stadium is colloquially known as The Garden. It is a multi-purpose indoor stadium. It is situated in Manhattan, New York, United States. In this location it was first opened in February 1968. Its capacity for Basketball is 19,763, Concert 20,000, Ice hockey/Lacrosse 18,200, Wrestling 22,292 and Boxing 2,789. The total cost for this stadium is $1.1 billion. This stadium is in the third position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

4. Stade de France: This stadium is in the fourth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums. It is located in Saint Denis, France. It was opened on 28 January, 1998. Its owner and operator is Consortium Stade de France. Its capacity is 80,000. The total amount of money that was spent for this stadium is $974 million.

5. Rogers Centre: This stadium is situated in Ontario, Canada. It was opened on 9th June, 1989. Its owner is Rogers Communications. Its capacity for Baseball is 49,260, Concerts 10,000-55,000, Basketball 22,911 and Pro wrestling 67,000-69,000.  The total cost for this stadium is $930 million. This stadium is in the fifth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

6. Ashburton Grove: This is currently known as Emirates Stadium. It is a UEFA elite football stadium. It is situated in Holloway Islington, London. It was first opened on 22th July 2006. Its capacity is 60,361. Its owner is Arsenal F.C. The total amount of money that was spent for this stadium is $770 million. It is in the sixth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

7. Soldier Field:  It was formerly known as Municipal Grant Park Stadium. It is located in Illinois, United States. It was first opened in September 1924. It was closed from January 2002 to September 2003 for renovation. Its owner is Chicago Park District. Its capacity is 61,500.  $714 million was spent for this stadium. This stadium is in the seventh position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

8. Lucas Oil Stadium: This stadium was first opened on 24th August, 2008. It is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Its capacity for American Football is 63,000, Basketball and Super Bowl is 70,000. The total amount of money that was spent for this stadium is $675 million. This stadium is in the eighth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.

9. Safeco Field: It is a retractable roof stadium for baseball. It is located in Seattle, Washington. It was first opened on 15th July 1999. It is operated and owned by Washington-King County Stadium Authority. Its capacity for Baseball is 47,878 and Football is 30,144. This stadium is in the ninth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums. Total cost for this stadium was $656 million.

10. Stadium Australia: It is currently known as ANZ Stadium. It is also simply called as the Olympic Stadium. It is located in Edwin Flack Avenue, New South Wales. It was firs opened in 1999. Its owner and operator is Australia Group. Its capacity in rectangle formation is 83,500 and Oval formation is 82,500. Its cost is $624 million. This stadium is in the tenth position in the Top 10 List of Most Expensive Stadiums.
