In this Top 10 List, we will show you the best musicians of music history. They are the legends and they are the greatest of all time. In this list, we have provided some information about their personal life and their career. Now here is the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

1. Michael Jackson: From our view, the all time greatest musician is Michael Jackson. He is the greatest singer of all time. He was born on 29th August, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, US. He started his career in 1971. Besides singing, he was also a great dancer, songwriter, musician, composer, actor, philanthropist and a businessperson. Billie Jean, Beat It and Black and White are some of his greatest songs. He was died on 25th June, 2009. He is in the first position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

2. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: His full name is Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. This legend was born on 27th January, 1756. Mozart started to show his prodigious ability from the childhood. He was an influential and prolific composer of classical era. He composed more than 600 works including symphonic, chamber, concertante, operatic, piano and choral music. He died on 5th December, 1791. He is in the second position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

3. Ludwig van Beethoven: Beethoven is in the third position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time. He was German pianist and composer. He was born on 26th March, 1770, in Bonn, a part of Roman Empire. At the age of only 20, he became a famous pianist. In the late 1790s, his hearing began to deteriorate. Even after becoming completely deaf, he continued to compose and perform. He died on 26th March, 1827.

4. Johann Sebastian Bach: He was born on 21th March, 1685. He was a German violist, composer, harpsichordist and organist. He was a great musician. Though, he didn’t introduce any new forms, but with a robust contrapuntal technique, he enriched the prevailing German style. He died on 2nd June, 1749. He is in the fourth position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

5. Elvis Aaron Presley: This legend of music history was born on 8th January, 1935. In 20th century, he was the most popular American singer. He considered as the legend of Rock music. Thus, he is called the “King of Rock and Roll”. He is one of the most successful musicians of the world. Due to drug addiction, he suddenly died on 16th August, 1977. He is in the fifth position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

6. The Beatles: It was an English Rock Band. It was the most commercially successful and the most popular band in music history. It was founded in Liverpool, 1962. Its members were vocalist and rhythm guitarist John Lennon, bass guitarist and vocalist Paul McCartney, lead guitarist and vocalist George Harrison and drummer and vocalist Ringo Starr. They have worked on classic, pop ballads, psychedelic rock and so on. The Beatles are in the sixth position Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

7. Simon & Garfunkel: Pail Simon was a songwriter and singer and Art Garfunkel was a singer. They formed Tom and Jerry group in 1957. Their first success was “Hey, Schoolgirl”. By their “The Sound of Silence”, they became very popular. They received several Grammy Awards. In 1990, they were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2007 to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. They are in the seventh position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

8. Bob Marley: His full name is Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley. He was born on 6th February, 1945. He was a musician, singer and songwriter from Jamaica. Bob was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the band Bob Marley & the Wailers from 1963 to 1981. He died on 11th May, 1981. He is in the eighth position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

9. Metallica: Metallica is a legend of music industry. This heavy metal band is from Los Angeles. It was first formed in 1981 when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in a newspaper and James Hetfield responded. Now besides these two members, there is lead guitarist Kirk Hammett joined in 1983 and bassist Robert Trujillo joined in 2003. There was Dave Mustaine in this Band who went and founded Megadeth. This band is in the ninth position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.

10. The Rolling Stones: This English Rock band founded in London, 1962. The early members of this band was lead vocalist, keyboardist and guitarist Mick Jagger, guitarist and keyboardist Brian Jones, vocalist and guitarist keith Richards, bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts. They got the band’s name from the song “Rollin’ Stone” by Muddy Waters. This band is in the tenth position in the Top 10 List of Musicians of all time.
