Antisocial Personality Disorder is an alteration in the perception or experience of the external world so that it seems strange or unreal. It is the name for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM.
DPD or Dissocial personality disorder is another name defined by the ICD or International Statistical Classification of Diseases. Though psychopathy or sociopathy has similar symptoms but scientists and doctors made clear that there are distinctive differences between them.
People having this mental disorder don’t care about others right, morals, feelings or social norms.
They will do everything they can to get what they want done, even violence or manipulating others are methods for them. Some common symptoms of Antisocial Personality Disorder are listed below:

There are mainly three causes or reasons for Antisocial Personality Disorder and they are genetic, physiological or environmental.
There may be other causes but those causes can be listed within those three causes.
Genetic: Research about genetic behavior shows that Antisocial Personality Disorder can be genetically transferred from generation to generation.
If a person has Antisocial Personality Disorder then any or some of his/her future generation members can have this problem. This problem roots within the gene so it can happen.
Physiological: If any traumatic event happens in anyone’s life then the after effect of that event can be the cause of this mental disorder. Mental shock or continuous rough situations can cause this problem.
If anyone has accident, and have physical head injury then that can also cause this. Head injury can be cured but the effect it leaves on the nerves can cause this problem.
Environmental: Family environment is a strong catalyst for mental growth moderation. If someone faces continuous mental pressures and harassment within their family then that can cause or trigger the Antisocial Personality Disorder.
This can also happen if school environment or job environment causes too much harassment on the mental situation.
Antisocial Personality Disorder is a complex and most difficult mental disorder to cure because the victim has low or zero remorse for their behavior and others problems.

People with anorexia have an extreme fear of gaining weight, which causes them to try to maintain a weight far less than normal. There are no certain causes or reasons for this mental disorder to happen.
It can happen for many reasons and there are no fixed treatments or medications for this disorder. So, in a word, it is a complex mental disorder.
About 2 millions people face this problem every year and around 1000 people die from it. It is common among women 0.9% to 4.4% women face this problem where only 0.2% to 0.3% men face this problem in their life time.
Symptoms and Signs
As an eating mental disorder, the victim will take less to no food fearing of overweight and the malnutrition will cause many major problems with the internal organs of their body.
Victims will think themselves over weight comparing to others and often succumbs to starvation while eating less than needed. Some common symptoms and signs are listed below:
- Body measure and weight ratio too low based on age and height
- Fearing to get overweight slightly
- Taking all necessary steps to not gain an extra ounce
- Dangerously fast weight loss
- Obsession type habit to count calories and fats of everything they eat
- They can cook foods for others but don’t eat for themselves

- Body structure changes rapidly

Causes or Reasons
The main reasons or causes for Anorexia Nervosa or eating disorder is still to be discovered but there are signs that biological or genetical, developmental, psychological and sociocultural causes can become the source of this developmental.
Research showed that identical twin faces this problem than regular twins. Often parents with eating disorder problems in their past life have children facing Anorexia Nervosa.
Though research is incomplete but there are some proofs that family dysfunction or early age sexual abuse can be cause of Anorexia Nervosa. Other psychological factors can also be cause of this eating disorder.

So, the only way to cure a person affected to the Anorexia Nervosa is identifying the problem early and giving proper treatment.
The original goal of the treatment will be victim’s healthy weight restoration, psychological disorder concerning the matter treatment, and if possible eliminating the thoughts those causes the problem otherwise reduce the thoughts within safe areas.
People must take balanced diet. Every people’s food preferences are different than others but no matter what food we eat, we must eat proper mean that will provide all the needs of our body.
The victim must eat high energy and caloric foods in their diet. We must make sure that the victim is getting all the nutrition he/she needs most and a balanced nutrition level will increase the body weight restoration process.

3. Bulimia Nervosa
In this top 10 most common mental disorders list we keep Bulimia nervosa in the 3rd place. Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating, or consuming a large amount of food in a short amount of time.
It is a common problem to all. Bulimia nervosa is nine times more likely to occur in women than men.
Exhibitionism is also a common mental disorder and we put this in our top 10 most common mental disorders. Exhibitionism is the exposure of one’s genitals to non-consenting strangers for sexual arousal or gratification.
The shock of the victim provides the sexual arousal for the exhibitionist. In most cases, when no other factors are present, there is no actual contact with the victim.

Fregoli delusion is a rare psychological disorder that causes a person to believe that various people around them.
6. Ganser Syndrome
Ganser syndrome is a type of factitious disorder. People with factitious disorders act this way because of an inner need to be seen as ill or injured, not to achieve a concrete benefit, such as financial gain.
This Ganser syndrome is in 6th place in our list of top 10 most common mental disorders.
7. Gender Identity Disorder

Gender identity disorder is a conflict between a person’s actual physical gender and the gender that person identifies himself or herself as. For example, a person identified as a boy may actually feel and act like a girl.

Hypomania is not as debilitating as mania. The person remains able to function well in day to day activities. Psychosis does not happen in hypomania.
9. Anxiety Disorder

10. Conduct Disorder
Conduct disorder in the last place of our list of top 10 most common mental disorders. Children are mainly affected by this problem.
